1975 attended fifth grade at Wilhelmstraße Holzminden Gymnasium.
June 10th 1984 Graduted and recieved the Abitur

October 10th 1988 Aplication against the draft.
March- July 1989 Civil duty  service pos for the Protestant Student Union of West Germany and West Berlin in Stuttgart

WS 1985-86 Studied Physics (Diploma) at Philipps University, Marburg
November 11th , 1987 Diploma pre-exam in Physics
WS 1987-88 Studied Philosophy as a second major

January 1991 Joined the Nuclear Solid State Physics group
